About My Art
I’m very much inspired by childhood memories and images that can incorporate transformative elements in my work. It helps me stay connected with engaging subject matters, test various painting methods and imagery possibilities. When it comes to my photography, I feel the artist in me seeking out a photo as a starting point for a new creation! On my trips to Perú, I feel closer to my culture photographing a child or a person in traditional clothing, wearing rich colors or in an action that helps me complete the story. As an artist, I am also passionate to help others learn and grow either through my art or my teaching. I love teaching art to children because I admire playful ideas. It’s amazing seeing students glow after developing their artwork! My creative process allows me to communicate with objects or whatever catches my eye to make art and tell its story. How fun is that?
